The camp that my family and I had to stay in was very hot. It was located in Poston, Arizona. Some Japanese Americans had to grow food but it was difficult because the ground was really dry. It was very crowded everywhere so it was very uncomfortable and sickness spread fast. Eating areas were filthy and smelt like raw food. Our beds were very uncomfortable because cushion was thin and blankets were cheap and rough. Although that is if you had bought a blanket because blankets were not provided. Pillows were hard and had little cushion so it was hard for anyone to get a goodnight sleep. Sleeping areas were also really crowded because there was somewhere between about one hundred to two hundred bed in each sleeping home.
